John Charles Allan

To me he was a number one Grandad. He meant so much to all his family.
Grandad had a Cancer Operation in April 2006. We all thought we lost him then. Things went well and
he was doing well after it.

He managed to go out for a while now and again. And make the most of getting through the operation.

Unfortunately this year we got told it had come back. Later we got told there was nothing the
doctors could do.

He was such a clever man. So clever it scared me. He had to much brain for one person. But that's
what we all loved about him.

We will all miss you so much.

Your pain has gone and we all know that it was for the best.

R.I.P Grandad

Heaven is a beautiful place
A place thats so serene
My loved ones live there now
And i see them in my dreams

They come and talk to me
Tell me how wonderful it is
They visit me often
And leave me with a kiss

They tell me all sorts of things
How happy they are there
Such a beautiful life they live
Without a single care

They tell me of all the loved ones
Who have passed before
And how when the new ones come
They get the guided tour

They tell me they love me
And that they will see me one day
Not just yet my darling
Is what they always say

Youve got your life to live
Adventures to be had
My time will come eventualy
And not to feel so sad

I feel a wave of calm and happiness
Knowing one day i will see
My loved ones up in heaven
And all together we will be

My Grandad

You've always had a special place,
deep within my heart.
Forever there it will remain,
whether we're near or far apart.

You've always been my favourite,
forever you will know.
You've always made me happy,
when I was feeling low.

The kind advice you gave to me,
will never be replaced.
Nothing else can ever compare,
when I see a smile upon your face.

I want you to know I love you,
and you mean the world to me.
You're the star I'll always wish upon,
the light I'll always see.

Another week

Another week has come and gone. Not a day goes by wishing you could be back home.
There are so many things i want to ask you because i know you are the one who i will get the correct answer from.

I just can not get it in my head that i will never see you again. I keep convincing myself that you will be back and i will talk to you like i always have done before.

Am sure i managed to annoy you plenty through out the years Grandad so here is something to get you going. Gran and Me got a Christmas tree. I can imagine what your saying to yourself right now. (What you doing with that stupid thing. We don't need any decorations).

I will leave you to get used to the idea.

Love you
Claire

For you Grandad

My Special Grandad

Always a smile,
Never a tear,
Even when the time was near,
So brave, so proud
And dignified too,
This Grandad is my tribute to you.

Forever live on,
In my heart,
Since the day that you did part,
The memories, the laughs,
The bad jokes too,
Every day I’ll be missing you.

You travelled so far,
More than most,
But you were never one to boast,
The sun, the sea,
The sunsets too,
Beautiful places for a beautiful you.

The things you achieved,
The thing you have done,
And now at this time the angels have come,
The homework, the maths,
The English too,
So helpful Grandad, also you.

As I say goodbye,
On this day,
The memories will never go away,
Your family, your friend,
Your Angel too,
I, my Grandad, will always love you.

a poem for you and your family x

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.

r.i.p. John x
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
